The National Hostos Movement for the Independence of Puerto Rico hereby announces that it has launched a national campaign, "Puerto Rico extends its hand to Palestinian Children".

Feda Abdelhady-Nasser, Deputy Permanent Representative of the Permanent Observer Mission of Palestine to the United Nations, welcomed the expression of solidarity with the Palestinian people in Gaza by the National Hostos Independence Movement of Puerto Rico (MINH) adopted unanimously on Sunday, August 10, 2014.

At its 10 August 2014 meeting the National leadership of the National Hostos Independence Movement of Puerto Rico (MINH) strongly condemned the genocide against the people of Palestine in Gaza presently being committed by Benjamin Netanyahu’s inhuman Isreali government in violation of all international norms.

(August 22, 2014) Norberto González Claudio has been in U.S. federal custody since his arrest in May 2011. Charged in November 2012 in connection with the $7 million dollar ‘expropriation’ carried out by the Macheteros clandestine organization in 1983 Hartford, Connecticut, Norberto was sentenced to five years. His release date, as still appears on the Bureau of Prisons website, was set for September 7, 2014.
